Pick-up details

All material collected will be picked-up from each school for transfer to the nearest Value Village location where material will be weighed and recorded. The pick-up will be completed by Value Village's non-profit collection partner. Value Village will pay them for all material collected.

Once clothing collection is complete, you will receive an email from Recycling Council of Ontario containing details on choosing a date and time for pick-up. 

Step 1. Your school's participation
Not interested or able to collect clothing for the challenge but still want to take action on textiles waste for Waste Reduction Week? Schools are not required to host a clothing collection drive in order to be eligible for the innovation, eco-fashion, and community engagement/social media components of the challenge. Please select how your school will be participating.

Students are welcome to register for the challenge; however you must receive approval from a staff member (teacher, principal, etc.) and include their contact information below.
Step 3. School information
Currently only schools in Ontario and British Columbia can participate.
The #IGiveAShirt Challenge is currently only available to secondary schools (grades 9-12) in Ontario and British Columbia.
Enrolment numbers will be confirmed before prizes are awarded. The #IGiveAShirt challenge is currently only open to secondary schools in Ontario and British Columbia
